  • Estimating

    The construction process is messy. When the last crew leaves the site, someone has to get rid of all the dirt, dust and potentially hazardous waste left behind.

  • The Three Phases of Clean up

    Phase #1: Rough cleaning

    Once all the framing, electric works, and plumbing has been finished, the first phase of post construction cleanup can begin. This is when large items such as leftover materials, trash, debris, and other objects that can’t be vacuumed, are disposed of.

    This phase also includes the removal of stickers from windows and doors. Finally, the area is given a quick vacuuming or sweeping.

    Phase #2: Light cleaning

    This is the phase where the bulk of the actual cleaning is done. The cleaners bring in specialized tools and equipment, and proceed to clean and polish every inch of the completed construction area, including windows, floors, walls, and all hard-to-reach surfaces such as the interiors of air ducts. We also polish any metal surfaces.

    Phase #3: Touch-up cleaning

    This part of the cleaning occurs a few days after the light cleaning. We do a thorough inspection of all the space. We’ll remove any dirt and dust that has settled. We also touch up any painted surfaces, and fix anything that doesn’t meet our high-quality standards. Once the touch-up cleaning is done, the property can be safely moved into or shown to potential clients.

    For projects where the construction included exterior work, our team will also do a pass of cleaning that includes picking up any debris outside, making sure caulk and paint are finished correctly, and wiping down windows on the exterior. Sometimes this phase is simply a part of the light clean phase as well—whatever makes the most sense for your project.
